					<p>Recognizing outstanding marketing professionals in AAF-North Central Indiana.</p>  <p>The American Advertising Federation's Silver Medal Award Program was established in 1959 to recognize men and women who have made outstanding contributions to advertising and who have been active in furthering the industry's standards, creative excellence and responsibility in areas of social concern. Annually, AAF-North Central Indiana bestows this honor upon outstanding members of the local advertising community.</p>  <h3>Criteria:</h3>  <ol>      <li>Must be an individual/company member of AAF-North Central Indiana</li>      <li>Contribution to AAF-North Central Indiana over the years (AMP, AAMP, Ad Club) as an officer, committee member and/or financial support to organization.</li>      <li>Achievements throughout career in advertising, marketing, PR/communications</li>      <li>Community involvement</li>      <li>Having an impact that has changed or improved our industry by them being a part of it.</li>      <li>Written nominations must be contained to an 8.5&quot; x 11&quot; sheet of paper, typed, single space to include what the nominee has accomplished in their career and their volunteer activities. </li>  </ol>  <p>Nominations are due on or before, 5 pm, Friday, February 5, 2010. 					<p>Recognizing and encouraging young marketing professionals in AAF-North Central Indiana.</p>  <p>The AAF-North Central Indiana's Rising Star Award is being presented annually at the ADDY Awards Banquet to recognize and encourage young marketing professionals to continue in their efforts that make a difference in their chosen marketing/advertising career and in the community they live. 			<title>AAF-NCI Offers Free Nonprofit Marketing Services</title>

					<p>American Advertising Federation-North Central Indiana (AAF-NCI), a local organization of marketing and advertising professionals, is accepting applications to offer complimentary, professionally developed marketing services for a nonprofit organization in 2010. The nonprofit organization selected will receive a customized marketing solution that may include the following elements: marketing, public relations, fundraising, creative services and advertising in television, radio and print.</p>  <p>&quot;In 2009, a dedicated committee of AAF-NCI professionals created a strategic marketing plan for the YWCA programs and services. 			<title>AAF-North Central Indiana Scholarship</title>

					<p>AAF-North Central Indiana offers scholarships for students majoring or minoring in advertising, marketing, communications, graphic design or a related area. AAF-NCI also offers a general scholarship to a deserving minority student. Preference is given to a minority student majoring in an advertising-related field. Applications are due to the Board of Directors responsible for developing and implementing the scholarship policies, procedures, application process and selection of the recipients. Completed applications must be postmarked no later than <strong>August 1, 2009.</strong></p>  <h3>Criteria</h3>  <p>Students must be at least in their second year of college and majoring or minoring in advertising, marketing or a related area <strong>AND</strong> meet one of the criteria below:</p>  <p>Permanent residency in Tippecanoe, Benton, Carroll, Clinton, Fountain, Montgomery, Warren and White counties.</p>  <p><strong>OR</strong></p>  <p>Related to paid member of AAF-North Central Indiana</p>  <p><strong>OR</strong></p>  <p>Be a paid member of a student chapter AAF group in Tippecanoe, Benton, Carroll, Clinton, Fountain, Montgomery, Warren and White counties.</p>

			<title>Free Brown Bag Lunch Series: Marketing in a Tough Economy</title>

					<p>American Advertising Federation North Central Indiana will sponsor a free lunch series to help local businesses, non-profits and professionals keep their cool in a tough economy. The two-week series will focus on the following topics: How to Get the Best Media-buying Bang for your Buck; Cheap (and fun) Marketing Tricks of the Trade; and How to Promote your Company for Free.</p>  <p>Class facilitators include: Allison Meadows, AAF Indiana Lt. Governor, Traci Robison, Clarian Arnett Health Marketing Director and Emily Smriga, Haan Marketing + Communications Media Director.</p>  <p>The first session is scheduled for noon on March 5 in Ivy Hall Room 1106 at Ivy Tech College, 3101 S. Creasy Lane, Lafayette. The final session is planned for noon on March 12, in Ivy Hall Room 1114.</p>  <p>Registration is limited to the first 25 participants and can be made via the organization's website at <a target="_blank" href="https://webmail.myexchangeemail.com/owa/redir.aspx?C=fbb4f870211a4223bba5f71cf1ff5ebe&amp;URL=http%3a%2f%2fwww.aafnorthcentralindian.org%2f">www.aafnorthcentralindiana.org</a> or by calling Meadows at (765) 296-2911.
