AAF - North Central Indiana

A 2003 graduate of Purdue University, Emily has worked at Haan Marketing + Communications (HM+C) since January 2005. Starting in the position of Copywriter, she moved up the ranks to become the Media Director, where she is responsible for researching, preparing media plans, placing and tracking all media for clients. Prior to coming to HM+C, she worked at a Copy Editor for Cardinal Health, Inc. in McGaw Park, IL.

In addition to her work at HM+C, in January 2006 she began teaching a course in advertising at Purdue University. Each semester, she walks approximately 25 students through a real-life case study. They work on developing a strategic marketing plan and advertising collateral for a nonprofit organization in the community that needs assistance with their marketing communication efforts. Since she started teaching this course, Emily and her students have assisted Indiana Voices of Women, Home With Hope, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Wabash Valley, Wolf Park, Habitat for Humanity, Historic Prophetstown, Almost Home Humane Society, Tippecanoe Arts Federation, and many others.

Emily is active in the community, volunteering her time and talents to various organizations. She serves on the Board of Directors for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Wabash Valley (and is a volunteer "Big Sis"), Purdue Alumni Liberal Arts Volunteer Board, Deacon for Immanuel United Church of Christ, Alumni of Alpha Phi Omega (National Co-Ed Service Fraternity), member of Tippy Connect, volunteers for the Lafayette Symphony Orchestra and Historic Prophetstown and serves as a liaison between AAF-NCI and AAF-Purdue student chapter.

In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, traveling, blogging, and watching Purdue Athletics. Emily resides in Lafayette with her husband Rob and two cats, Josie and Mack.
