The American Advertising Federation - North Central Indiana (AAF-NCI) 2010 ADDY Awards Banquet will be held on Monday, February 22, 2010 at the Purdue Memorial Union Ballrooms. The ADDYs is conducted annually by the American Advertising Federation (AAF) which is a three-tier, national competition recognizing exceptional advertising and marketing created in the Greater Lafayette area in all media including print, broadcast, out-of-home and public service. All work submitted must have been published or aired between January 1, 2009 and December 31, 2009.

The winners will be announced during an awards program that evening. Gold ADDY award winners will be automatically advanced to the district competition that will be held in March.

Rising Star Award

Recognizing and encouraging young marketing professionals in AAF-North Central Indiana.The AAF-North Central Indiana's Rising Star Award is being presented annually at the ADDY Awards Banquet to recognize and encourage young marketing professionals to continue in their efforts that make a difference in their chosen marketing/advertising career and in the community they live. One individual will be given this prestigious award based on the following criteria:

  1. Must be a current member of the AAF-North Central Indiana Club.
  2. Must be involved and make a difference in community service or philanthropic activities.
  3. Must be 32 years or younger before the Annual ADDY Banquet.
  4. Written nominations must be contained to an 8.5" x 11" sheet of paper, typed, single space to include what the nominee has accomplished in their career and their volunteer activities.

Nominations are due on or before, 5 pm, Friday, February 5, 2010. You can nominate someone that meets the above criteria or nominate yourself.

Send nominations to Michelle Kreinbrook, AAF-North Central Indiana President,or fax to 765-446-5229 by Friday, February 5, 2010. The winner will be announced at the ADDY Awards on February 22, 2010. Good luck to all who enter!

Silver Medal Award

Recognizing outstanding marketing professionals in AAF-North Central Indiana.

The American Advertising Federation's Silver Medal Award Program was established in 1959 to recognize men and women who have made outstanding contributions to advertising and who have been active in furthering the industry's standards, creative excellence and responsibility in areas of social concern. Annually, AAF-North Central Indiana bestows this honor upon outstanding members of the local advertising community.

Criteria:

  1. Must be an individual/company member of AAF-North Central Indiana
  2. Contribution to AAF-North Central Indiana over the years (AMP, AAMP, Ad Club) as an officer, committee member and/or financial support to organization.
  3. Achievements throughout career in advertising, marketing, PR/communications
  4. Community involvement
  5. Having an impact that has changed or improved our industry by them being a part of it.
  6. Written nominations must be contained to an 8.5" x 11" sheet of paper, typed, single space to include what the nominee has accomplished in their career and their volunteer activities.

ADDY Submission Details & How to Enter

Deadlines

DEADLINE: January 28th, 2:00 PM.

Entries can be dropped off anytime between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 28, 2010, at the Holiday Inn downtown. (January 28nd is a regular Ad Fed Professional Development Luncheon.)

Entries can also be dropped off after the 28th at the front desk of Indiana Design Consortium during normal business hours. Indiana Design Consortium offices are located 416 Main Street Lafayette, IN 47902.

Clear plastic Addy submission envelopes will be available for purchase at the Holiday Inn on the 28th and at Indiana Design Consortium after the 28th. Envelopes are $2 (approx 10" x 12") each for small and $5 each for large.

Any entry received after January 28th at 2:00 p.m. will be assessed a $25 late fee. Entries after 12:00 p.m. on February 2nd will not be accepted.

Eligibility

All work entered in the ADDY® competition must have first appeared in the media between January 1 and December 31, 2009.

Entry Fees

For members, each entry, campaign or single, costs $60.

For Non-Members, the first entry costs $145. (This cost includes a non-member entry fee as well as a mandatory $85 membership fee.) Each subsequent entry will be charged at the member rate.

For students the entry fee is $25 for members. It is $45 for non-members first entry and includes the cost of a membership. Student work submissions must be unpaid work.
